Max Poolman is one of the most promising artists in the Dutch southern rock scene. Together with his five-piece band, The Union – featuring guitarist Jeroen Egge, keyboardist Dursun Erbay, bassist Chris East, and drummer Frans Pruis – he has made a name for himself in recent years with his raw voice and heartfelt songs. His style is inspired by legends such as Tyler Childers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, and The Black Crowes.

Max was one of the most booked artists during Popronde 2021 and, since the release of his debut album Roads Go On Forever in May 2023, has continued to grow his audience. The album was produced by Jeroen Egge. By now, Max has become a staple of the Dutch live music circuit, from playing the famous Amsterdam pop temple Paradiso to playing main stages on big Dutch Festivals. In 2023, he and his band successfully completed their first headline tour in Belgium.

In spring 2024, Max embarked on a highly successful co-headline tour with Americana artist Jonathan Rhodes, performing in venues such as Vera, Skatecafé, and Torpedo Theater. A packed festival summer is on the horizon for 2025, and his second album is set to be released in the fall.
